Gabriel Elsner, WG’18

Wharton major: Double major in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Business Operations

Startup experience: Prior to business school, Gabe founded the Energy & Policy Institute, a think tank that advocates for clean energy policies across the nation. Under his leadership, EPI defended markets for clean energy worth at least $3 billion in 15 states. EPI is still working to advance clean energy policies in state capitals and utility commissions.

Eddie Kong, GEN’18

SEAS concentration: Machine Learning and Distributed Systems

Startup experience: Before graduate school, Eddie co-founded Backbone Labs, a smart posture device company that raised $500k on Kickstarter in 30 days (from a $25k goal). The company is based in San Mateo, California.
